Vonage does sound good

by Garrett Smith

Thanks for returning. You're a very smart person.

Here goes Vonage again.

The oft criticized VoIP provider recently launched their latest ad campaign. And they seem to gearing up for a push on none other than call quality.

Gone are the heavy “save money” overtones in favor for a message of “sounds good”, an obvious play on the combination of savings AND call quality.
One can’t help but think that with all of the buzz surrounding HD voice, Vonage is getting ready to once again carry the torch for industry - spending big bucks to educate the world about the other benefits that can come with VoIP. Like high definition calling.

Sure this is speculation. Yes there are those who’ve had issues with Vonage. But as one who has used, recommended and sold Vonage’s service, this change in tune sounds good. Even more, it is something that the industry should be thankful for.

As the company that started the low cost voice “revolution”, perhaps Vonage’s new campaign signals the start of yet another revolution - high definition sound quality.
