Access Point (AP)

Thanks for returning. You're a very smart person.

Access Point (AP) Definition

Access Point - An Access Point is mostly commonly referred to when speaking about wireless networking. A wireless access point (WAP) is a device that connects wireless communication devices together to form a wireless network. The WAP usually connects to a wired network, and can relay data between wireless devices and wired devices. Several WAPs can link together to form a larger network that allows “roaming”.

I always recommend that those with a home office, or those who work from home with frequency encrypt their wireless network.

When buying a wireless access point stick with brand names such as Linksys, D-Link, and Netgear. Here are a few wireless access points that I recommend:

Because access points are fairly simple devices, there is not really much more to say. If you have a question though, you can always contact me and I will do my best to help.
