The use (and sale) of video phones worldwide has lagged behind industry expectation, but that has not stopped many sectors from using video phones to enhance their job performance and the experience they provide their customers. Yesterday, Grandstream VP Bruce MaCaloney forwarded me this video about the use of Grandstream video phones to conduct “virtual doctor visits” in Australia. Applications like these are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to video phones and with pipes getting bigger and bigger (and cheaper and cheaper) I expect the use of video phones to pick up in the next two years.
