Mobiboo Mobile, the UK’s first Wi-Fi VoIP company, has launched the tovo t450g PocketFone and the tovo t1000 HomeFone Plus. The offer will initially launch at 19 of Tesco’s UK stores and online at www.tovo.com.

The tovo t1000 Wi-Fi mobile has striking resemblance to the UTStarcom F1000G (in fact I would bet it is a re-badged F1000G). The tovo t1000 is a standard “brick” Wi-Fi phone. The t1000 features three-way calling/call waiting, call rejection/redial/mute, call transfer/call forward, call hold/call resume, repeat dial on busy, and caller id blocking. It has up to four hours of talk time and a stand-by of 80-100 hours. This phone is ideal for those who frequent the abundant hotspot locations in the uK. The tovo t1000 retails for 99 GBP.

The tovo t450g is a Dual-Mode Wi-Fi phone that allows for both traditional mobile calls and VoIP calls. The t450g features tri-band (900/1800/1900) GSM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, polyphonic ringtones, built in camera, and the same call functionality as the t1000. The tovo t450 has a 1.5 inch 128×128, 64k color screen for pleasureable viewing of the phones various functions. The phone retails for 169 GBP.

Mobiboo Mobile is offering both of these phones with may-as-you-go and monthly plans with no restrictive contracts.
