VoIP Services Missing From Facebook
I have been spending a considerable amount of time on Facebook lately, and I notice the lack of VoIP based applications.
Facebook is the hottest place on the net…and VoIP applications are ominously missing from it. Besides a skype and and Rebtel, there are no other VoIP applications.
Considering the fact that VoIP service providers are always looking for low cost customer acquisitions initiatives I am surprised by the lack of VoIP applications for Facebook. So JAJAH, FWD, Vonage, and VoIP.com where are you?

Hi Smith:
What do you think of yackpack, jaxtr. I consider them as VOIP applications. Not sure if you are looking at some pure SIP based apps that bridge voip to pstn world.

I did not see any of those on Facebook. I am interested in seeing which VoIP service providers hoop on the Facebook gravy train.
So far I have been disappointed…
I was involved with some of the Rebtel Facebook app development (i work for Rebtel) and for us it was simply a matter of wanted to be where our users are. There is strong use of social media within Rebtel, so to us that just made sense. It is as surprising as it is to you that there aren’ more applications like ours. Although you might want to check out the bOK app too.
Jangl’s been on Facebook for a while with their Phonebook application. Where have you been?
I could not find Jangl’s application. If you can’t find it, that is as good as it not existing, right?
Hi Smith:
Some of these companies use different application names on facebook. For e.g.
YackPack is called WalikieTalkie
Jaxtr is called MyPhone.
I have added both these apps in my facebook account.
Cheers,
Omfut
