JAJAH Hits 2 Million Customers

by Garrett Smith on March 29, 2007

One Year. Two Million Customers. Not Bad.

JAJAH, the web-based telephony application that allows you to make free or low cost phone calls from everyday phones, has announced that after only one year of operations, they have already reached two million customers. That is quite an impressive number, considering pure-play VoIP service leader Vonage has 2.2 Million customers total to date.

The secret behind their success?

Probably JAJAH’s ease of use. To make a call, all you need to do is visit the website and enter the number of the person you want to call. Your phone will ring and a voice prompt will tell you that JAJAH is connecting the call. BAM! No complicated set-ups, no hardware, just a few minutes to register for an account, and a few seconds to enter the phone number you want to call.

It is funny how so many of talk about the need for service providers to innovative. While many consider JaJah to be innovative because they are web-based, I believe the true innovation here is the JaJah is simple and easy to use.

Make it simple. Make it easy. People will buy.

Oh wait…two million already have.

Garrett,

thanks a lot for this mention and I’m very happy and excited about what we could achieve so far. I promise we keep on innovating and providing more neat communication services in the future smashing the barriers to free global communication :-)

Have a great weekend and regards,

Frederik
