Sangoma releases B601 series connectivity card

Thanks for returning. You're a very smart person.

There’s nothing sexy about PSTN connectivity cards. But that’s not stopping the folks at Sangoma from making them a little more attractive for do-it-yourself and professional open source PBX systems builders.

Announced last week at Astricon, Sangoma’s new B601 series cards are based off the Sangoma B600 series. The B601 series cards feature one T1/E1/J1 digital port, along with four analog FXO ports and one analog FXS port.

By by integrating on a single PCI or PCI Express slot both digital and analog interfaces Sangoma can now provide a card that is both very cost effective and very easy to use. Two things that people building open source PBX systems like to hear.

As for the technical stuff, the B601 series boasts support for up to 34 simultaneous PSTN calls, compatibility with all commercially available motherboards and hardware echo cancellation. Plus there’s Sangoma’s 5 year warranty.

So the B601 might never reach sexy, but it sure should be popular with do-it-yourself and professional PBX systems builders.
