Sangoma Now Bundling a Free Six Port Software Echo Cancellation License

Sangoma Technology, a leading provider of TDM and IP PCI cards for Asterisk has announced that they are now bundling a free six-port license for Octasic’s SoftEcho solution with Sangoma’s standard A200 and A400 analog cards. According to Sangoma CEO David Mandelstam,

“Although we have provided hardware echo cancellation for analog systems of all sizes for some time, the cost was rather expensive and often out of reach for those deploying smaller systems. Our agreement with Octasic allows us to deliver a robust solution providing the industry’s best voice quality on systems of up to six ports at no additional cost. Above six ports the balance of cost and system load begins to favor our traditional hardware echo cancellation solutions.”

Outside of the cost savings, the ability to use the Octasic SoftEcho software echo cancellation truly delivers “carrier class” quality - meaning small medium business, enterprises, etc. will get the same sort of technology typically reserved for carrier…and for free no less.
