Microsoft Response Point the Big Winner at IT Expo

by Garrett Smith

Thanks for returning. You're a very smart person.

I don’t care that the show isn’t over yet or that I am not at the show.

Microsoft Response Point takes the cake at this Fall’s IT Expo - blowing the doors off their entrance into this space.

This week the Microsoft Response Point team has announced seven different partnerships. Not one, not two, but seven. In one broad swoop, at one show, they have managed to amass quite the ecosystem around their Response Point product line. In announcing partnerships with folks like Packet8, Bandwidth.com, Quintum, ClearOne, Sangoma, tekVizion and AST Technology labs, Microsoft has run the gambit here. They now have two of the nations leading VoIP service providers in Packet8 and Bandwidth.com, two of the industries top PSTN connectivity providers in Quintum and Sangoma, a high quality conferencing solution from ClearOne and two decorated testing facilities for further testing.

If that isn’t a robust ecosystem then - well, let’s just say that there are companies out there who have been in this industry for a few years and don’t have one like this.

The next stop for Microsoft Response Point team?

Building a channel.

Sure, they are going to leverage Microsoft existing reseller network, but data VAR adoption - and effective selling of VoIP has lagged behind many’s expectation, so hitting the major players in this space will most certainly be the next news to come from the team. Oh and Microsoft Response Point team, if you don’t know where to start with this, let me know - I can point you in the right direction.
