Is it a Far Reach to See Mobile VoIP in 76 Markets Next Year?

Hey, you're new around here aren't ya? Did you know you can get every post FREE in your EMAIL or via RSS? Oh and if you're a Twit like me you can follow me on Twitter HERE. Enjoy the post.

Far Reach Technologies does not think so. Far Reach, the oldest ISP in Volusia County (Daytona Beach, Fla) is looking to roll out a mobile VoIP and Broadband service, xMax in 76 markets across 8 states in the US in 2007. So how does a relatively small, regional ISP, expect to launch an advanced communications service? With the use of xG Technology. According to the company’s press release,

“xG’s technology is the greatest technical advance in RF communications in 100 years. The xG systems will enable us to offer in-demand broadband services at lower rates, and a path to 4G services in 2008,”

According to xG Technoplogy’s website,

“xG Technology has produced a new low-poer, long-range communications technology call xG Flash Signal. xG Flash Signal uses single cycle modulation to boost the range of wired and wireless communication devices. Incorporated into products as a new physical layer “PHY” chipset, xG Flash Signal also reduces a device’s RF output power, resulting in improved battery life. Field performance results have shown xG Flash Signal capable of wirelessly sending high speed data 3 times farther on average than other approaches at equal transmit power, height and frequency. This improvement in range can reduce the amount of network infrastructure required to cover a given area by 25-fold. Positively shifting network economics, xG Flash Signal makes the deployment of new and affordable broadband networks and services possible. “

What makes me skeptical of this news is the fact that I have never heard of xG Technology, “the greatest technical advance in RF communications in 100 years” or Far Reach Technology, a small, regional ISP. For now, I am going to watch future developments, but based on what I have read so far, this look like a pretty far reach.

Hey buddy, I don´t think you know what you are talking about because I´ve never heard of you. xG has never heard of you.

I believe what you have written is the most ridiculous statement ever. Because you have never heard of the company, even though they have been around for years, it is not going to work. LOL. Who are YOU?? Maybe if you bloggers did at least an iota of DD, your blogs wouldn´t seem so inane. This type of misinformed blogging is the price we all pay for free internet.

I disagree with you. Any company, that makes claims that their technology is the greatest advance in RF technology in 100 years and is not well known by those who have been in the industry for over five years, I am going to be skeptical. If you sprinkle in the fact that Far Reach Technologies is unkown as a nationwide provider of anything and they claim to be taking the next step in offering Mobile VoIP prior to any of the Tier-1 players, I am going to be skeptical.

When two relatively unkown’s put out a shotty press release making big claims, I am going to be skeptical.

As far as who I am, do some research. I am pretty accessible.

I disagree with you, due to your lack of understanding regarding what was written and who said what. Far Reach doesn´t masquerade as a national ISP. They are a LOCAL ISP which fits exactly in xG´s business plan which you obviously either have not read or have not comprehended what you read. I believe the case is the former.

xG never said what the CEO of Far Reach said, which is what you have quoted. 5 years doesn´t impress anyone, pal, especially when you get your facts wrong for everyone to see. Step aside, little man, you know not of what you speak.

oh and shotty is shoddy and I can´t see why anyone would go out of their way to find out about you.

So, I guess you are masquerading as one of Xg’s employees too scared to indentify themself as one or possibly just your typical internet troll. How can I believe anything you say if I do not know who your are? If you are holding me to that, I guess I will hold you to the same. Who are you and why would I believe anything you say?

In case you do not know, when a joint press release is sent out, both parties need to approve what is contained within the release. If Far Reach said something that Xg did not agree with, they should have not allowed it to be released.

I know who said what and what was written. What i wrote is that Far Reach said “xG’s technology is the greatest technical advance in RF communications in 100 years.” Go read my post again. No where does it say anything that Xg claimed that.

Garrett,

This is the last reply.

You said this: Any company, that makes claims that their technology is the greatest advance in RF technology in 100 years .

Garrett, is agreeing with something someone said the same as saying it? If someone says I am the best looking person in the world, and I do not disagree, is it the same as me saying it. Ok, this conversation is over, thankfully.

I see Dannenberg was spewing his vitriol here as well. He must have a lot riding on this to feel so compelled to abuse anybody who speaks poorly of his “investment”.

Hmmmm. Here we are almost a year and a half later and none of xG’s plans have come to pass — well, except for their grand rollout of the technology (if you consider a couple geeks with a laptop sitting in a parking lot a rollout).

What a scam. Now the true believers on the iii investment board are floating rumors of a buyout. Typical penny stock scam mentality.

@ Nemesis:

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing….
